
Private Collection Visit in Cambridge
Sunday 7 December, 10-11am or 12-1pm
Join the Friends on an exclusive viewing of an extensive private collection in Cambridge of artworks from the Postwar period until present day. The collectors will guide a small group around their home with examples of British and Scottish art with both originals and prints set amongst other collectables.
About the collection
The collection has an extensive range of Scottish Art, with many works ranging from the colourist movement, to responses combining both tradition and modernity in Postwar Scottish Art.
Alongside is work collected from the 70’s onwards of artists originally known for graphic based illustrative art to examples of work by artists known internationally. The collection also includes photography, other ‘collectables’ and a significant poster archive.
Over eighty artists are represented and these include Kettle’s Yard collection artists such as Anne Redpath, Robin Philipson and Elizabeth Blackadder, as well as works by William Gillies, John Houston, Glynn Boyd Harte, Poul Webb, Chloe Cheese, David Hockney, Howard Hodgkin, Callum Innes, Paul Schutze, Nan Goldin, Fischli Weiss, Gerd Winner among many others.

Transport & further information

The works are exhibited over four floors and not suitable for anyone not able to manage stairs. The home owners request that visitors wear soft soled shoes or are happy removing footwear!
Full details on the location of the collection will be communicated to ticket holders ahead of the visit.
All proceeds support Kettle’s Yard. Refunds are not possible, unless the visit is cancelled by Kettle’s Yard.
