Born 1931 – Died 2021
Blackadder studied at Edinburgh University and Edinburgh College of Art from 1949 to 1954. She was the first woman to be elected to both the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Academy. She was appointed an OBE in 1982 and promoted to DBE in 2003.
