Community
Welcome
The community programme develops opportunities for creativity, connection and curiosity to enable art to be an everyday part of life today, inspired by Kettle’s Yard.
We host regular sessions and innovative projects for all. Kettle’s Yard is proud to have a particular and long-term creative partnership with our neighbours in North Cambridge.

Kettle’s Yard’s community programme aims to establish a long-term creative partnership with our neighbours in North Cambridge through Your Kettle’s Yard, supported by Cambridge City Council.
Your Kettle's Yard, Your Way
Your Kettle’s Yard, Your Way enables people experiencing long-term physical or mental health conditions or who are neurodivergent, to engage with Kettle’s Yard through supportive and creative activity programmes.
Circuit (18 – 25 year olds)
Circuit is Kettle’s Yard’s creative programme for young people aged 18 – 25 years.
Circuit is currently on pause as we consult with local young people about how Circuit can best support them going forwards.
Older People
Kettle’s Yard celebrates continued creativity and curiosity throughout our lives and offer a variety of opportunities for older people who may encounter barriers to visiting cultural venues to engage with us.

Bridges
Connecting Young People with Creativity
Bridges is a new and exciting programme at Kettle’s Yard for young people aged 14-19 years. It aims to empower young people, giving them confidence and agency in art spaces by using art exploration as a tool to support their personal and creative growth.
This three year programme asks the question:
“What and where do we connect to?”
Cambridge is a city of bridges, connecting people from around the world with learning and culture, it is also the most unequal city in the UK. This project aims to open up those cultural spaces and include young people.
Bridges is a three year project (2024 – 2026). For each year an artist with a socially engaged practice is selected by young people taking part in the project.
Visit With An Open House Card
We are piloting the Open House card, giving free access to the Kettle’s Yard house and other benefits, via our existing community partners who are third-sector, charitable or community groups largely based in North Cambridge. If you think you would like an Open House card, please ask a representative of your charity or community group to contact openhouse@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk or call 01223 748100.
