Venue Hire

Discover Kettle’s Yard as a unique venue for your event

Welcome

Kettle’s Yard is a unique place hidden away in the oldest part of Cambridge, a beautiful house created by Jim and Helen Ede, and filled with a remarkable collection of twentieth century British and European art. Alongside the house are light and airy gallery spaces which host contemporary exhibitions.

Outdoors there is a courtyard, a secluded cottage garden, and the neighbouring St Peter’s church and churchyard, making it a beautiful and flexible venue to host special events.

All income from venue hire helps to sustain Kettle’s Yard to enable us to look after the collection and programme exhibitions and community and learning activities

Food and Drink Suppliers

We work with a small group of catering companies all of whom produce the highest quality food and all operate policies to reduce plastic usage and food waste in line with Kettle’s Yard and the University of Cambridge’s own values.

By working with a number of suppliers we are able to suggest a catering company that matches the style and budget of food that guests are looking for whether that be a vegan feast, bowl food, desert canapés at the bar with post dinner cocktails rather than pudding or a more classical approach. Together we will match you with the right choice of caterer.

Our wine list has been carefully selected to offer a range of interesting wines of different styles from a number of wine producing regions and includes champagne and prosecco and we can offer this on sale or return of unopened bottles.

Reviews

It was fantastic to work with the Kettle’s Yard team. They were extremely professional, accommodating and understanding and the final result was a fabulous event. Kettle’s Yard is a very special venue and it was wonderful for the guests to have dinner in such a magical location, whilst being serenaded by music. We hope to work here again in the future.

Feedback from all our guests was that the day was perfect and that the venue was unique, personal and incredibly beautiful. Liz and her team couldn’t have been more efficient and took good care of us throughout the planning process – even helping us organise catering and wild-flower bouquets for our lunch setting. We organised two tours of the collection and the guides were informative and engaged. I can’t recommend Kettle’s Yard enough.
