New Activity Booklet Created with Harold Offeh for Children and Families

A new, free, activity booklet for children and families visiting the house at Kettle’s Yard.

Artist Harold Offeh, who recently exhibited at Kettle’s Yard as part of the exhibition Untitled: Art on the conditions of our time, has collaborated with the Learning & Community team to create a new, free, activity booklet for children and families visiting the house at Kettle’s Yard.

Inspired by Harold’s own practice as an artist, the booklet invites you to select an object in the house that you are curious about. Harold then offers ways of exploring your curious object by using your senses.

This fun and informal activity booklet, entitled Exploring Kettle’s Yard with Harold Offeh, is enhanced with original illustrations by artist collective Nous Vous, commissioned by Harold.

I’ve been really excited to work with Kettle’s Yard and Nous Vous in the development of this resource that I hope will help children and families take a sensory led approach of the Kettle’s Yard house. For me, it’s important to recognise you experience the world using all your senses and this approach should apply to art. I hope this booklet allows people to be curious, play and discover how they engage with people, places and things.

— Harold Offeh

Exploring Kettle’s Yard with Harold Offeh is free and can be collected from the Kettle’s Yard welcome desk as part of your visit to the house.

This activity booklet is supported by the Clore Duffield Foundation’s Cultural Learning Fund.
