10 Questions to Ai Weiwei with North Cambridge Academy

At the opening of our current exhibition Ai Weiwei: The Liberty of Doubt, five year 9 students (aged 13–14) from our partner school North Cambridge Academy were invited to interview the artist to offer a new perspective on the exhibition.

The students researched Ai Weiwei and his art, and came up with 10 questions for him. These questions ranged from asking about his past, his motivations and his reactions to the Chinese government, to his plans for the future and hopes for today’s generations.

Watch the short film below to enjoy the interview.
