Older People

Kettle’s Yard celebrates continued creativity and curiosity throughout our lives and offer a variety of opportunities for older people who may encounter barriers to visiting cultural venues to engage with us.

I think all through your ages you need your mind to be stretched and your attitudes to be stretched as well. And so, you just keep throwing it at us and we’ll keep doing it.

Talking Together with COPE

Kettle’s Yard partners with Cambridgeshire Older People’s Enterprise (COPE) to host regular telephone art discussion groups and one-off online workshops for older people who face physical barriers to visiting cultural venues. The sessions are also tailored to support people with visual impairment with additional resources and audio description.

Creativity in the Care Home

Kettle’s Yard can come to your residents in a care home or sheltered or supported housing complex and provide artist-led creative activities or an introductory talk to Kettle’s Yard.
