Teacher's Evening

Tuesday 20 October, 5-7.30pm (doors at 4.45pm)

Join writer and facilitator Hannah Jane Walker at this Teacher’s Evening to discover the Kettle’s Yard house using words. We will use playful writing and noticing activities to explore the house as a place for feeling. Afterwards we will head down to the Clore Learning Studio for some creative making combining words and images.

Book Now £10 (£5 partner school), booking required

Kettle’s Yard Teacher’s evening are suitable for teachers, teaching assistants and student teachers, who support individuals of all ages in various learning environments.

There will be light refreshments served during the evening.

Please note, we have a maximum of 4 attendees per school.

This evening gives you time to reflect, socialise, reenergise, and get creative through making.

Access

  • The Clore Learning Studio is fully accessible. It can be reached by stairs or by lift, select -1 in the lift. There is an accessible toilet in the basement beside the Learning Studio. There are more toilets and facilities on the ground and first floors.
  • During this event, you will visit the Kettle’s Yard house. Please note: unfortunately around three-quarters of the house is not accessible to wheelchair access, this is due to the historic nature of the building. The ground floor extension area of the house is, however, accessible for wheelchair users with a ramp. There is no lift in the house. To find out more about Access, click here.

What Teachers Are Saying

Hear from previous attendees of our Teacher’s Evening / Teacher CPD:

I love how practical these teacher CPD’s are – very inspiring and helps get the creative juices flowing.

Thank you – I have so many new ideas to take back to the school. I’ll be looking to increase ‘ways in’ to creativity and ‘soften’ the pressure students feel to perform to certain standards.
