New Music: Eliza McCarthy, piano

Thursday 20 November 2025, 8pm (doors at 7.30pm)

Join us for a New Music concert in the Kettle’s Yard house. To begin the New Music Series, we will be welcoming Eliza McCarthy, piano.

This event has passed. £15 (£5 students), booking required

Back by popular demand! When Eliza McCarthy came to Kettle’s Yard in 2024 she captivated us with a set of works that slowly unfolded like vast musical landscapes. And now she returns with a major work by Irish composer Donnacha Dennehy that obsessively revolves around simple sounds, but gradually creates a mesmerising web of complexity. McCarthy will also introduce us to composers she’s developed close relationships with over the years, including the fascinating music of Mica Levi.

Programme

Mica Levi, Bullets Hit The Wall, Sugar Hits The Bowl

Mica Levi, Diamond Gun

Missy Mazzoli, Orizzonte

Mica Levi, Jealous Spell

Mica Levi, Waves

Christopher Cerrone, Hoyt-Schermerhorn

Mica Levi, Slow Dark Green Murky Waterfall

Mica Levi, Riding Through Drinking Harpo Dine

Kit Downes, Nocturne

Donnacha Dennehy, Stainless Staining
