Movement and Colour – Abstract Painting Teacher CPD
25 June, 5–7.15pm
Primary and secondary teachers, join us to explore, experiment, move and create in this intuitive painting session led by artist Kelly Briggs.
Be inspired by the vibrant colour, richness and energy of Megan Rooney’s large-scale abstract paintings in an after-hours exhibition tour and respond in-situ to Rooney’s mural work in guided drawing exercises led by Kelly.
Extending upon these, Kelly will lead an expressive painting workshop with natural paints. She’ll guide us through ways to create with intuition, colour and movement, noticing the importance of being mindful through the process.
End the session (and the school year) feeling energised and inspired!

About Kelly Briggs
Kelly Briggs is an artist working at the intersection of art and science. With deep roots in Cambridge, Kelly is inspired by the wealth of scientific research in her home town as well as the awe she feels from being out in nature. Through print, painting and sculpture, Kelly explores the fine balance of nature and our place in it as humans. Through facilitating workshops Kelly aims to inspire others to look deeper and connect to the natural world around them
