Lunchtime Talk: Sustainability, Care, and Art Galleries

Thursday 13 November, 1-1.40pm

To celebrate Carbon Literacy Action Day, join Molly Stock-Duerdoth, Learning Host and participatory researcher, for a lunchtime talk about sustainability, care, and art galleries in the Ede Room at Kettle’s Yard.

Book Now FREE, booking required

This talk will look at how sustainability and care link objects, people, and the planet. Inspired by the connection between museum practice and the climate emergency, we will discuss histories of care and repair at Kettle’s Yard through its work with collections and communities. We will think together about how galleries can foster social and environmental sustainability through hopeful climate action.

Access

  • This event will take place in the Ede Room at Kettle’s Yard, on the 2nd floor. There is a lift giving access to all floors located past the galleries, just beside the Clore Learning Studio on the ground floor.
  • We have wheelchair accessible toilets on the lower ground (level -1), ground and first floor (level 1).
  • Kettle’s Yard welcomes assistance and service dogs in all areas.
