LATE at Kettle's Yard

10 June, 6-9pm

Join us at Kettle’s Yard for an evening of art, talks, music and making, inspired by our exhibition Handpicked: Painting Flowers from 1900 to Today.

The evening will include pop-up talks and poetry readings providing insight into the exhibition, as well as special tours of the Kettle’s Yard house focused on the flower paintings and arrangements of fresh cut flowers.

Book Now £8 (£5 students/Open House Community cardholders), booking required

A drop-in workshop will take place in the Clore Learning Studio where you can take inspiration from the exhibition and make your own floral-themed artworks. There will also be musical performances throughout the evening.

The Kettle’s Yard shop will be open for you to enjoy some evening shopping. Drinks and food will be available from the Garden Kitchen café.

About the Exhibition

Access

  • Music will be played at various points throughout this event. There will be a quieter area available on the second floor, however, music will be audible throughout the building.
  • This event will include short tours of the Kettle’s Yard house. We regret that around three-quarters of the house is not accessible to wheelchair access, due to the historic nature of the building. The ground floor extension area of the house is, however, accessible for wheelchair users with a ramp. There is no lift in the house.
  • The galleries, where exhibitions are shown, and all areas of the Clore Learning Studio (level -1), the Research Space (level 1) and the Ede Room (level 2) are fully accessible.
  • We have wheelchair accessible toilets on the lower ground (level -1), ground and first floor (level 1).
  • There is a lift giving access to all floors located past the galleries, just beside the Clore Learning Studio on the ground floor.
  • Kettle’s Yard welcomes assistance and service dogs in all areas.
  • We have large-print versions of the wall text available.
  • We can lend visitors small folding seats for taking around exhibitions or using at non-seated events. Please ask a Visitor Assistant for help finding a seat.
