In Conversation with Rose Uniacke: A Modern Approach to Antiques
Monday 19 May, 6-7pm
Join the renowned British architectural interior designer and gallerist Rose Uniacke for a lively evening of discussion with the design journalist Aimee Farrell.
This one-off evening will see Uniacke explore her own beginnings in antiques and restoration, her affection for Kettle’s Yard – and the rise to prominence of her distinctive aesthetic, as expressed in her own harmonious Pimlico home (which once belonged to the Scottish portraitist James Rannie Swinton) and throughout her studio’s global projects.
Part of a series of talks and events titled, ‘My Kettle’s Yard,’ investigating the influence of Jim Ede beyond fine art, the conversation will reflect on what it means to take a modern approach to antiques in interiors.
