Exhibition Tour at CORPUS with Artist CJ Mahony and Gallerist Jeremy Parker

Join the gallerist and founding director of CORPUS contemporary gallery, Jeremy Parker and the Cambridge-based artist CJ Mahony for a private tour and walkthrough of their exhibition, for fragile insides. This one-off evening at CORPUS will see Parker and Mahony discuss their respective careers, and shared belief in the vast potential of Cambridge as a site for a burgeoning contemporary scene.
Having started his career at the globally renowned, Glasgow-based gallery, The Modern Institute, Parker has had a longstanding involvement in championing and supporting regional excellence. Alongside their artistic practice, Mahony was one of the founders of Aid and Abet, an artist run project space, operating between 2011-2014, in an old railway warehouse in Cambridge.
Following this broader discussion around the current contemporary art landscape in the city, Mahony and Parker will turn their attention towards their own collaboration, exploring how they came to work together, and rounding off with a guided tour of for fragile insides, Mahony’s first solo exhibition at CORPUS.
About CJ Mahony
CJ Mahony lives and works in Cambridge (UK) and has a studio at Wysing Arts Centre. They studied Sculpture at Wimbledon School of Art and completed their MA at Camberwell College of Art in 2012. Mahony has undertaken publicly funded commissions for organisations including Edinburgh Art Festival, Contemporary Art Society, The Tate, National Theatre Scotland, Historic Environments Scotland, ITV, National Trust, The Cambridge Junction and Opera North. Mahony’s practice invites confusion between objects and bodies, and makes visible the points at which the object-body disintegrates, fails, and loses its structural integrity.
About Jeremy Parker
Jeremy Parker is the founding director of CORPUS, Cambridge. Established in 2025, CORPUS is a contemporary gallery committed to showing an ambitious and challenging programme of exhibitions, talks and events.
CORPUS has a particular focus on representing a multigenerational range of practices, and facilitating exchange between artists and multidisciplinary practitioners. Parker has over fifteen years experience working in the commercial art world. Prior to opening CORPUS, he worked for the globally renowned gallery, The Modern Institute in Glasgow, and following this assumed the role as Director of Project Native Informant, London.
