Friends Event: Architecture tour of the new National Portrait Gallery

The Friends are treated to a private tour with Jamie Fobert, architect of the National Portrait Gallery’s transformative refurbishment and creation of new public spaces.
The tour will last approximately one hour leaving plenty of time to view the complete re-presentation of the collection in the free galleries.

Fortuitously, David Hockney Drawing from Life exhibition will be showing. This highly acclaimed exhibition opened for just 20 days before the Gallery’s closure due to Covid in March 2020 (please note this is a ticketed exhibition and not included in the event price).
Friends attending this event will need to organise their own transport to the National Portrait Gallery.
