About the speaker

Tamsin Golding Yee is a Deputy Director and Specialist in Modern British & Irish Art at Sotheby’s in London. She has previously held positions at Christie’s in London and Singapore; the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and Tate Modern in London. Tamsin read History of Art at the University of Cambridge, where she fondly remembers visiting Kettle’s Yard and borrowing an artwork via the Art for Students scheme. She then completed a Master of Arts degree in Curating at the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, writing her dissertation on the sculptor Kim Lim. She was also the Editorial Assistant for Jo Baring’s book Revisiting Modern British Art and regularly lectures at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art and alumni events at the Courtauld. In addition to fine art, she has a passion for British studio ceramics – and even makes some in her own time!
