Collection Visit: Unapologetically

Saturday 27 April, 10am–12pm

Join the Friends of Kettle’s Yard on a tour of the Unapologetically collection at the London campus of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

This event has passed. £15 Friends (£25 General, £5 Student Friends), booking required

About the Event

The owner of the Unapologetically collection will give us on a tour of the over 50 works that she hung across three floors of the Chicago Booth’s Robert Rothman, ’77, campus. The collection focusses on emerging artists and the African diaspora but also features established artists from the UK, such as Sir Terry Frost and Bridget Riley. The collection addresses questions related to economic and cultural globalisation, the role of the media, gender and racial identity, and the role of memory. The owner will give us insights into the practice of the individual artists as well as her overall curatorial vision, including what role the collection has been playing in the education of the business students at Chicago Booth. After the tour, there will be an opportunity to mingle over drinks and snacks.

All proceeds go to Kettle’s Yard.

Should the visit be sold out, please email friends@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk to join the waiting list as additional places might become available. Refunds are not possible, unless the visit is cancelled by Kettle’s Yard.
