For Adults

Adult ArtLab: Sow a Little Tenderness

Saturday 14 February, 10am-3.30pm

Join artist Anna Brownsted for a playful and gently subversive digital video-making & augmented reality workshop inspired by Harold Offeh’s exhibition Mmmm, Gotta Try a Little Harder, It Could be Sweet.

No experience needed—just curiosity, playfulness, and a willingness to explore! This workshop is suitable for adults.

Book Now £50 (£10 Open House community card holders), booking required

During the session participants will:

  • Enjoy an introduction from Anna Brownsted and Kettle’s Yard staff to the current exhibition.
  • Make a short video artwork by mining your own pop-culture memories—music videos, film scenes, iconic gestures and childhood moments—as a lens for exploring tenderness, humour and lived experience.
  • Test how you can curate your completed videos into a temporary augmented-reality (AR) exhibition hidden within the galleries. Using simple digital technology, you will anchor your videos to chosen locations throughout the building, turning corners, objects and architectural details into secret portals.
  • Grow your knowledge of designing on an augmented reality (AR) platform and connections to others in this fun and creative workshop.

ArtLab: Test-Make-Grow: For creatively curious adults who want to explore new materials and ways of making in a supportive and explorative workshop

Tea and coffee will be provided but lunch is not included.
