Art for Students 2025/26

27 October 2025, 2 – 4pm

Why have a poster on your wall when you can have a real work of art?

This event has passed. £20 fee and £30 refundable deposit per artwork, come along

Ever since Kettle’s Yard was created, students have been borrowing works of art from the collection. At the beginning of every academic year, we invite students at Anglia Ruskin and University of Cambridge to borrow artworks from our Art for Students collection, giving them a bit of Kettle’s Yard to take home with them.

Come along to Kettle’s Yard to choose your artwork.

How to borrow

Students can select one painting, drawing or print.

Artworks are available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.

£20 fee and £30 deposit which is refundable upon return of the artwork loaned.

All artworks borrowed must be returned in June 2026.

Payment by card only. Please bring your student ID and safe and suitable packaging for transportation, e.g. bubble wrap, tissue paper or similar soft material.

Apply for a bursary

We are able to offer bursaries for up to 30 students, to cover the cost of borrowing an artwork. To apply for a bursary, please email Gabby Brasier (gjb65@cam.ac.uk) providing evidence that you are a recipient of means-tested financial support, such as a Cambridge Bursary, scholarship, or hardship grant.

Bursaries are allocated on a first come, first served basis, and cover one artwork per student. Applications must be received by Thursday 24 October at the latest. We are unable to allocate bursaries on the day.

Kettle’s Yard would like to thank Emma Davis and our other generous anonymous donors who make the Art for Students bursary scheme possible.
