Art for Students 2024/25

28 October 2024, 2 – 4pm

Why have a poster on your wall when you can have a real work of art?

This event has passed. £20 fee and £30 refundable deposit per artwork, come along

Ever since Kettle’s Yard was created, students have been borrowing works of art from the collection. At the beginning of every academic year, we invite students at Anglia Ruskin and Cambridge University to borrow pictures from our Art for Students collection, giving them a bit of Kettle’s Yard to take home with them.

Come along to Kettle’s Yard to choose your artwork.

How to borrow

Students can select up to two paintings, drawings or prints.

Artworks are available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.

£20 fee and £30 refundable deposit per artwork. Payment by card only. Please bring your student ID.

Apply for a bursary

Thanks to the generous support of Emma Davis, we are able to offer bursaries for up to 15 students, to cover the cost of borrowing an artwork. To apply for a bursary, please email Naomi Polonsky (np505@cam.ac.uk) providing evidence that you are a recipient of means-tested financial support, such as a Cambridge Bursary, scholarship, or hardship grant.

Bursaries are allocated on a first come, first served basis, and cover one artwork per student. Applications must be received by Thursday 24 October at the latest. We are unable to allocate bursaries on the day.
