Circuit

Kettle’s Yard’s creative programme for 18 – 25 year olds.

Circuit is a creative programme for young people aged 18 – 25 years. Kettle’s Yard has been programmed with Circuit since 2014 to connect young adults with modern and contemporary art in Cambridge.
Following a period of creative consultation with local young people in the city, we are now working with our community partners to enable more young adults to be creative leaders for their peers in our city. Our current partners include Centre 33, Cambridgeshire County Council Care Leavers and the Kite Trust.

What Do Circuit Members Say?

It feels privileged to get to be in the galleries after hours. It’s also nice for me to be doing something creative with other people as normally everything I do is self – led.

I’ve done a lot of volunteering but Circuit is one of the places where I’ve felt more valued and welcomed. It’s GREAT getting food and snacks. I really enjoy taking part in Kettle’s Yard Lates and getting involved in events.

I’m so chuffed by this project – I can’t believe my work is in the galleries next to Louise Bourgeois, and we mixed it, recorded it, edited it.
