Yuen Fong Ling

Yuen Fong Ling (born 1972) is an artist, curator and researcher based in Sheffield. His socially engaged works explore the notion of permitted and omitted people, places and objects. He uses his own experiences of growing up in a migrant Chinese family in the UK to make biographical connections to the lives of others. He works across different media, including drawing, painting, print, sculpture, photography and performance. He graduated with a BA in Fashion & Textiles from Liverpool John Moores University in 1993, an MFA from Glasgow School of Art in 2007 and a PhD in Fine Art by Practice from the University of Lincoln in 2016.
