Born 1943 – Died 2016
Born in West Riding, Yorkshire, Carter graduated in Fine Art from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (1962-66). In 1990 he was the Henry Moore Foundation Artist Fellow at Christ’s College and Kettle’s Yard. In 1994 he was Fellow of the British School, Rome.
