Suling Mead
Suling’s interest in art spans contemporary art, Asian art, photography and design. She co-founded an art residency programme at Girton College, Cambridge which champions emerging artists and encourages engagement between the college community and the artist.
She is a Patron of the Tate, served as Chair of Tate Patrons and is a member of Tate’s Photography Acquisition Committee. She is a Trustee of the Contemporary Art Society and co-chair of their Development Board. She is a member of the Global Council of Delfina Foundation. Suling is also a Patron of the Design Museum and Royal Opera House and supports the Royal Academy, Hayward Gallery, National Gallery among others in London and the National Gallery in Singapore. She is a member of the Contemporary Arts Council of MOMA in New York. She is also on several acquisition committees of art organisations supporting Frieze Art fair.
Suling read Economics and Law at Cambridge, when she first visited Kettle’s Yard, and then studied for a Masters at Harvard Law School where she now sits on the Dean’s Advisory Council. She practiced corporate law with major firms in the US, UK and Singapore before pursuing art interests.
