Born 1945
Scully is an American painter of Irish birth. He moved to England with his family in 1949 and studied at Croydon College of Art (1965–67), Newcastle University (1967–71) and Harvard University (1972–73). In 1975 he moved to New York, becoming an American citizen in 1983.
