Sam Teare

Sam started at Kettles Yard in June 2023, working as a Finance & HR Assistant to support with the purchasing, invoicing and day-to-day financial processing of Kettle’s Yard.

Sam has a BA in Ancient History from the University of Swansea and is currently studying an MA in Archaeology at University College London, focusing on how domestic spaces can tell us about the lives and social networks of those who lived in them.

Previously, Sam worked at University College London as a Finance Officer, and before that the British Museum as a Finance Assistant.

Sam’s favourite thing about Kettle’s Yard:

I love the living history of Kettles Yard, being able to see and visit the house as Jim and Helen would have kept it and welcomed visitors themselves is an exceptional experience. So often collections like this feel very separated from those who curated them, but at Kettles Yard you can really feel the personalities of the Edes in how they laid out and lived in their home surrounded by the collection.
