Rosy Akalawu-Ellman

Rosy Akalawu-Ellman is an undergraduate reading Art History at the University of Cambridge. Prior to starting her degree she did an Art Foundation course at Central Saint Martins, specialising in 4D Fine Art.

Rosy’s passion for Art History began as a teen when she participated in Articulation and studied under Art History Link Up. In recent years she has given talks at the National Gallery, represented AHLU as an alumna at various events, and been shortlisted for the Paul Mellon Centre British Art in Motion award, amongst other creative and community building pursuits.

She is an active member in the Cambridge University arts scene, often getting involved with student theatre and organising Fitzwilliam Museum Society Events. As a part of FMS she has hosted public interviews with artists, curators, and other art world professionals – creating opportunities for students to interact with the wider arts scene of Cambridge and beyond. Her passion lies in democratising access to the arts and activating creative spaces as sites of communion.
