Paul Gangolf

German artist Paul Gangolf worked as a lithographer, wood cutter, painter and writer. He travelled widely between Berlin, London and Paris and exhibited in London in 1931. Jim Ede, the founder of Kettle’s Yard, purchased some of Gangolf’s works whilst working as Deputy Director at Tate. Paul Gangolf was killed in Esterwegen concentration camp on 12 August 1936.
