From Tuesday 4 – Friday 14 November, our galleries will be closed as we install our next exhibition Harold Offeh: Mmm, Gotta Try a Little Harder, It Could Be Sweet. The house, café, and shop will be open as usual.

On Friday 14 November, last entry to the Kettle’s Yard house will be at 2.45pm.

Melanie McLaren

Melanie grew up in Cambridge, attending art classes at Kettle’s Yard.

Melanie has spent the past 10 years in the human rights space. She is currently responsible for fundraising at the UK-based charity, Rights of Women. Prior to this, she was Executive Director of the Hong Kong NGO, Justice Centre where she ran the Hong Kong Human Rights Arts Prize, one of Asia’s most prestigious art awards. She was also nominated by the US government as the Hong Kong delegate to the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).

Before her career shift to the non-profit world, Melanie spent nine years in finance in London and Hong Kong.
