Mark Haworth-Booth

Studied English at the University of Cambridge in mid 1960s. In 1966, he and a fellow undergraduate got up a petition asking (successfully) that the University accept Jim Ede’s offer of the gift of Kettle’s Yard. He took it to E. M. Forster in his rooms at Kings College, who signed it. A week later got a postcard from Forster saying that he now realised what he had signed and fully supported the petition as he was a friend of Jim’s. Later studied Fine Art at Edinburgh and visited Jim there. Served as Curator of Photography at the Victoria and Albert Museum 1970-2004.
