Madi Acharya-Baskerville

Madi Acharya-Baskerville (born 1966) is an Asian-born artist, living and working in the UK. She completed an MA in Fine Art at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Her works explore the themes of migration, exile, gender and the environment, combining seemingly disparate found objects collected from the coastline, woodlands and vintage markets. Using objects, textiles, songs and conversations she creates works which move between different media. She has been the subject of solo exhibitions at the Royal Society of Sculptors, London, and the Lightbox, Woking. Her work is held in the permanent collection of the Whitworth, the University of Manchester.
