Laetitia Pilgrim
Letty joined Kettle’s Yard in April 2024 as a temporary Curatorial Assistant, supporting the team with research and planning for upcoming exhibitions and helping with the house and collection. In August 2024, she became Project Administrator for the children and young people’s exhibition, Paint What Matters!
Before coming to Kettle’s Yard, Letty worked in the charity sector administrating education programmes for children and young people aged 10-19. Previous to this, she spent time as a Curatorial Research Intern for the National Trust and, at the Ashmolean Museum and Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, as an Education Volunteer leading and assisting workshops for museum visitors and schools. She has also worked as an administrative assistant for an artist.
Letty has studied at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge; she has a BA and an MPhil in History. She is currently completing a PhD.
Letty’s favourite part of the Kettle’s Yard house:
I love Gregorio Vardanega’s hanging disc in the Bridge, which so beautifully floats within the foliage of the plants. It encapsulates the magic of Kettle’s Yard: the equal importance that Jim gave to art, found objects and nature, the way in which the house changes as the sunlight and the seasons move through it, and how art can alter the way that we see the world.
