John Hubbard

Born 1931 – Died 2017

Born in the United States, Hubbard was educated at Harvard University. In 1961 he settled in Bridport, Dorset, and in 1963–65 was visiting teacher of painting at Camberwell School of Art, London. As well as painting and printmaking, he worked as a stage and costume designer. In 1996 he was awarded the Jerwood Prize.
