On Tuesday 2 June, the Kettle’s Yard house and the Garden Kitchen café will be closing at 2pm. Last entry to the house will be at 1pm. Kettle’s Yard will close completely at 4pm, including the shop and galleries.

Jessica Ashman

Jessica Ashman (born 1986) is a British Jamaican artist whose practice spans animation, painting, installation, performance and music. Ashman worked in the commercial animation industry before completing an MA in Animation at the Royal College of Art in 2014. She has interested in the concept of the ‘personal archive’ as a social and political force. Her work merges the stories of the Black British diaspora communities in which she was raised with Black radical feminist theory and science fiction literature. Ashman’s films have been included in film festivals, including the Edinburgh International Film Festival and London Short Film Festival.
