Ian Breakwell
Derbyshire-born artist Ian Breakwell worked with an array of mediums including performance art, writing, film and printmaking. After attending Derby College of Art from 1961 – 1964, he developed a distinctive style combining text and image. His works commonly feature snapshots of everyday life and humorous observations of the world. Ian Breakwell completed a Kettle’s Yard residency programme in 1980-1981 at King’s College, Cambridge.
