Holly Kavanagh
Holly has joined Kettle’s Yard as Senior Associate Director for Fundraising and works across both Kettle’s Yard and the Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations office.
Holly graduated from the University of Brighton with a BA Hons in Culture, History & Literature. After undertaking work experience at Smiths Row Gallery in Bury St Edmunds, she went on to work for the National Trust and the Cambridge based conservation and heritage charity Cambridge Past, Present & Future. Responsible for growing fundraised income from individuals across a diverse portfolio of heritage sites, Holly created and launched innovative fundraising products.
After moving to London, Holly worked at the Natural History Museum, where she secured major gifts and legacy pledges to support exhibitions, programming and research.
More recently, as the Guardians & Legacies Manager for English Heritage, Holly developed strategies to uplift income for a variety of capital projects, heritage skills apprenticeships and endowment campaigns.
Holly is particularly passionate about removing barriers to accessing the arts. In Jim Ede’s careful and intentional curation of Kettle’s Yard we find a calm and inspiring space to be curious and explore, introspectively, our aesthetic pleasures.
