Fritz Möser
Born 1932 – Died 2013
Born in Czechoslovakia, Fritz Möser was the son of a leading print maker. He trained as a printer and typesetter under his father’s wing and created his first linocut in 1958. His work explored themes from Greek mythology, the Bible and 20th century poetry, with cycles such as ‘The Life of the Virgin’ and ‘Ulysses’. Möser won prizes for his intricate designs and went on to illustrate poetry and mythology books. Fritz Möser exhibited at Kettle’s Yard and Caius Art Cellar, Cambridge in the 1960s.
