Francine Del Pierre

Born 1913 – Died 1968

Born in Paris, Del Pierre first worked as a journalist. In 1949 she started the Atelier du Triptyque in Vallauris, with Albert Diato and Gilbert Portanier. In 1954 she met Bernard Leach in London, and they subsequently exhibited their ceramics together in Japan. Del Pierre’s work is all coiled and in earthenware.
