Christopher Samuel

Christopher Samuel (born 1979) is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice is rooted in identity and disability politics. He holds a BA in Fine Art from De Montfort University, Leicester. Rooted in his experiences as a Black disabled man, his work tells stories about the often-unseen facets of his everyday life and those of others in similar circumstances. His practice includes small ink drawings, film, print, audio and large installations. Samuel also works with galleries, museums, archives and other institutions to address missing representation in cultural spaces. His work has been included in exhibitions at the New Art Exchange, Nottingham; Pallant House Gallery, Chichester; and Compton Verney.
