Bindi Vora

Bindi Vora (born 1991) is an interdisciplinary artist of Kenyan Indian heritage, living in London. She uses an archive of personal and found photographs to explore the themes of resistance and resilience and the intersection between language, culture and power. Combining collage, linguistic motifs and analogue processes, she looks at the ways in which materials are reused and recycled to create new narratives. She graduated with a BA in Photographic Arts from the University of Westminster in 2013. She is Associate Lecturer at the London College of Communication and Senior Curator at Autograph, London. Her works are part of public collections, including the Government Art Collection and the National Museums NI.
